Inspiration: Decorating with Books

Life is better with books. They’re entertaining, informative and improve your vocabulary. I encourage you to bring them into your life – if only because they look pretty on display. Here are a few examples.

A coffee table made out of coffee table books

and an end table.

Display them in an unusual location, like the dining room

or the kitchen.

Stack them in an unused fireplace.

Layer them with art.

Display floating books on an invisible shelf.

Behold a customized stairwell full of books

and Karl Lagerfeld‘s library walls.

Books can be colour-coded

or wrapped to match.

It’s enough to made me want to give up the public library.  But not quite!
